Recent data has been issued by The FAA(Federal Aviation Administration) on 19 December 2016. 

Data shares that at the end of August, nearly 23,000 people have become licensed commercial drone pilots. That means more than 300 people a day ( that's weekdays ) across the United States have become certified drone operators in roughly 3 months. 

Salary expectations: The average pay for a drone pilot is INR 610,608 a year and INR 294 an hour in India.
